Celanese VAE Emulsion 149

Product Type Celvolit®149 is a copolymer emulsion free of plasticizers.

Product Overview Celvolit®149 features strong wet tack, excellent initial adhesion, and good shear resistance. It offers broad applicability for bonding various substrates, good heat resistance, and is widely used in formulating adhesives for porous, loose materials or dense surface materials, providing strong and durable bonding effects. Without the addition of plasticizers or solvents, Celvolit®149 can form a flexible and relatively transparent film at temperatures above 0°C.

Protective Colloid Celvolit®149 exhibits good compatibility with various additives and auxiliaries such as plasticizers, solvents, and fillers, offering extensive possibilities for adhesive formulation design. Typical applications of Celvolit®149 include (but are not limited to): Adhesives for panel furniture manufacturing; Adhesives for solid wood furniture manufacturing; Adhesives for printing/paper packaging.


Storage and Usage Celvolit®149 emulsion contains initial preservatives to protect against microbial attack. However, if storage conditions are improper, there is still a risk of mold and deterioration. Therefore, in addition to ensuring that storage tanks and pipelines are sufficiently clean during storage and use, we also recommend that customers add an appropriate amount of preservatives during use. Celvolit®149 should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment at 5~35°C, with a shelf life of 6 months. It must be protected from frost and direct sunlight during storage. During use, it is essential to ensure that the lids of opened packaging drums or containers are always tightly sealed to prevent water evaporation from the emulsion surface, which could lead to skin formation or even changes in the emulsion's properties.
